Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These Terms govern your use of Clavid, an AI video generation service operated by Ali Emir Beceren ("Clavid", "we", "us") at clavidai.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Clavid.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. If you are using Clavid on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind that company, and "you" refers to both you and that company.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Notify us at support@clavidai.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You may not create multiple accounts to obtain additional Free plan credits, evade limits, or circumvent a suspension. We use technical measures to detect this, and accounts found doing so may be suspended without refund.

3. What the service does

Clavid takes a topic or brief you provide and produces a finished video — script, narration, visuals, and editing — using a combination of AI models and licensed stock media.

Output is generated automatically. We do not review it before delivery, and we cannot guarantee that any particular output will be accurate, original, suitable for your purpose, or free of errors. You are responsible for reviewing every video before you publish or otherwise use it.

4. Plans, credits, and billing

Plans. Clavid offers a Free plan and paid plans (Starter, Pro, Studio) at the prices shown on the pricing page. Paid plans renew automatically each billing period until cancelled.

Credits. Generation consumes credits. The credit cost of an action depends on the models, voice length, and options selected, as described in the app. Two kinds of credits exist:

  • Plan credits, granted at the start of each billing period. These expire at the end of that billing period and do not roll over.
  • Top-up credits, purchased separately. These do not expire while your account remains active.

Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be exchanged for money except as set out in our Refund Policy.

Payments. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. Paddle handles all customer service enquiries relating to billing, and is responsible for collecting and remitting applicable sales tax and VAT. Your contract for the purchase is with Paddle; these Terms govern your use of the service itself.

Price changes. We may change prices. Changes take effect at your next renewal, and we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email. If you do not accept a price change, cancel before it takes effect.

Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until payment succeeds.

Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. See the Refund Policy for refunds.

5. Plan limits

The Free plan is subject to restrictions described on the pricing page, which currently include a watermark on output, a maximum video length, and unavailability of AI-generated video. Certain features are limited to specific paid tiers. We may adjust plan limits with reasonable notice.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Clavid to create, generate, or distribute:

  • content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours;
  • sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises minors — this results in immediate termination and, where required, a report to the authorities;
  • sexual, pornographic, or explicit content;
  • content depicting or realistically simulating a real, identifiable person without their consent, including political deepfakes, fabricated statements attributed to real people, and impersonation;
  • voice output that imitates a specific real person's voice without their consent;
  • content that harasses, threatens, defames, or incites violence or hatred against a person or group;
  • disinformation presented as fact, including fabricated news, health claims, or election content;
  • content that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights;
  • malware, phishing pages, or content designed to defraud.

You also may not:

  • resell, sublicense, or white-label the service without our written agreement;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the underlying models or prompts;
  • interfere with the service's operation, or attempt to bypass rate limits, credit metering, or access controls;
  • use automated means to create accounts.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, without refund.

7. Your content and the output

Your inputs. You keep all rights in the material you submit. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit it to our providers solely to generate your video and operate the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

Your outputs. Subject to your having paid for them and complied with these Terms, you own the videos Clavid generates for you and may use them commercially, including monetised distribution. Videos produced on the Free plan carry a watermark and may not be used commercially with the watermark removed.

Two important limits on that ownership:

  1. Stock media. Videos may incorporate footage or images from Pexels or Pixabay, which are licensed to you under those providers' licences rather than owned by you. Those licences permit broad commercial use but prohibit, among other things, redistributing the media as a standalone asset and depicting identifiable people or property in a defamatory or sensitive context. You are responsible for compliance.
  2. AI output is not exclusive. Generative models can produce similar output for different users from similar prompts. We do not warrant that your output is unique, and we cannot grant exclusivity over it. Copyright protection for AI-generated material is unsettled in many jurisdictions, and we make no representation about whether your output is protectable by copyright.

We do not use your inputs or outputs to train our own models.

8. AI transparency and labelling

Every video Clavid produces is generated or manipulated by artificial intelligence. This section explains what we do about that, and what you must do.

What we do. We tell you plainly, here and in the app, that Clavid's output is AI-generated. Videos produced on the Free plan carry a visible watermark. We are implementing machine-readable provenance marking — information embedded in the output file that lets standard provenance tools detect the content as artificially generated — and we will update this section when that marking is live on all output. Until then, output may not carry embedded provenance data.

What you must not do. You may not remove, strip, obscure, or alter any watermark, provenance marking, or other AI-generated indicator we apply, and you may not use the service in a way designed to defeat detection of the output as AI-generated. Doing so is a breach of these Terms and may also breach the law where you publish.

What you must do. You are the publisher of the videos you create. Where the law of the place you publish in requires you to disclose that content is artificially generated, that disclosure is your responsibility, not ours. This applies in particular if you publish in the European Union, where deployers of AI systems that generate realistic synthetic content have their own disclosure obligations under Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the AI Act), and in any other jurisdiction with comparable rules. Anything we mark is intended to help you comply; it does not discharge your obligation, and you should not assume our marking alone is sufficient disclosure.

Realistic depictions of people. Our Acceptable Use section prohibits generating content that depicts or realistically simulates a real, identifiable person without their consent, and prohibits voice output imitating a specific real person. That prohibition exists partly because such content attracts the strictest disclosure requirements and the greatest legal risk. It applies regardless of whether you would label the result.

No legal advice. We describe these obligations for your awareness. We are not advising you on whether or how they apply to your situation, and you should take your own advice if you are unsure.

9. Third-party providers

Clavid depends on third-party AI and infrastructure providers. Your use of the service is also subject to their acceptable use rules where those apply to generated content. If a provider becomes unavailable, changes its terms, or discontinues a model, we may substitute an equivalent provider or model without notice.

10. Availability

We aim to keep Clavid available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, and generation may occasionally fail due to provider outages. Where a generation fails because of a system error on our side or a provider's side, we restore the credits consumed — see the Refund Policy.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Clavid and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if your use creates legal risk or harms the service, or if required by law. Where the breach is minor and fixable, we will normally warn you first. On termination for breach, unused credits are forfeited and no refund is due.

If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you at least 30 days' notice, stop charging you, refund the unused portion of any prepaid subscription period, and give you time to download your videos.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clavid is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty about the accuracy, originality, or legality of generated output.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.
  • Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to Clavid is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100.

If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that does not permit these limitations, they apply only to the extent allowed there.

14. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold us harmless against claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your content, your use of generated output, or your breach of these Terms. This does not apply to consumers where prohibited by local law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in-app. Continuing to use Clavid after the change takes effect means you accept the new Terms. If you do not accept them, cancel your subscription before they take effect.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts and enforcement offices of İzmir have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident in the EEA or the UK, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings there.

17. General

If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale of the business. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between us.
